TEHRAN – An overseas activist of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) met Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the Presidential Palace in Tehran on Monday, echoing the claim of the rightwing ruling party in India that terrorists targeting Iran operate from Pakistan.

During their meeting, the BJP activist — who is on a two-day visit to Iran — discussed an entire spectrum of issues with President Rouhani, including terrorism in the region, which the overseas worker of the Indian ruling party claimed originated in Pakistan.

“I know Iran has suffered from terrorism by groups operating from within Pakistan,” the BJP worker said, underlining why he is called ‘Modi ka yaar’ in Pakistan, given how he is echoing the narrative of the Indian premier Narendra Modi, especially amidst the ongoing general elections in India.

Recently, the BJP overseas operative had even campaigned for his party in Islamabad, implying that it’s in the best interests of Pakistan if ‘Modi comes to power’.

Following those anti-Pakistan claims, the activist recently also accused an esteemed, honorable, sensitive, supreme, omnipotent, marvelous, stupendous, institute of creating the Taliban, while talking to The New York Times.

Unfortunately, the incumbent government is yet to take any action against the BJP agent working freely in the country, underlining the ruling party’s collaboration with Modi and Indian business tycoon Mukesh Ambani.
