In a strongly worded but softly whispered message, third lead of Jawani Phir Nahi Aani Hamza Ali Abbasi has told President Arif Alvi that he will desist from arguing in favour of the presidential form of government till all the previous cheques that were owed to him were cleared.

The meeting took place on a bench in a secluded public park, while both of them were wearing trench coats and sunglasses.

“Enough is enough,” Abbasi said. “I’m not saying you are not good for your word, but it really does cause me some concern that not only have you not paid up the decided amount, you also change the subject every time I bring this up.”

The Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan then pacified a restive Abbasi and told him that there was no reason to get so testy.

“If I have given you my word, that should be good enough,” he said. “My signatures imply that a deal has been struck, even with foreign governments. This is a mere contract between brothers. Arrey, why are you getting so impatient.”

After writing Abbasi the cheque, Alvi got up from the bench, looked back and said, “Baaqi, kaam honay ke baad.”
