ISLAMABAD – A resolution was submitted in Parliament to endorse Prime Minister Imran Khan for the prestigious Nobel Prize due to his efforts to deescalate recent tension with the powers that be.

The resolution, which was submitted by Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry in the secretariat of National Assembly, stated that PM Khan’s decision of taking permission before saying or doing anything has gone a long way to overcome the hostility between the two powers occupying the twin cities.

According to the resolution, Khan acted responsibly in the current tension and “deserves the Nobel Prize” for talking peace with India, reiterating that he would take act against militant groups, without getting ousted.

“Please note that we aren’t limiting it to a Nobel Peace Prize. I think such an achievement deserves all six Nobel Prizes,” Chaudhry said while talking to The Dependent.

The resolution maintains that “what PM Imran Khan has done in addition to maintaining peace is beyond the current physical dimensions. It has improved the chemistry between institutions, rebuilt the physiology of democracy and provided the medicine for what has long ailed this country. And considering the literature that would be written on the move, the resolution demands that PM Khan get all six Nobel Prizes.”

Meanwhile, PM Khan took to Twitter to humbly underline that he is ‘not worthy’ of the Nobel Prize.

“The person worthy of this would be the one who lasts the entire five year term as Prime Minister without getting ousted,” he tweeted.
