ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar, who is set to retire on January 17, has been roped in the title role of Bilal Lashari’s upcoming The Legend of Aquaman, sources privy to the development have told The Dependent.

The move comes after a local weekly had underlined the benefits of such a development keeping in mind with the requirements of positivity that the state is currently looking to muster.

Lashari, whose The Legend of Maula Jatt is set for release this year, is looking to similarly recreate another legend by starring the legend himself.

The leaked script for the film, slated for release in 2020, shows the heir to a waterless kingdom stepping forward to lead his people towards constructing a reservoir to hold water, fighting the enemies who seek to unite the seven water-full kingdoms so that the dam isn’t constructed. The Legend of Aquaman will showcase a century long struggle for construction of the reservoir.

As the top judge embarks on his post-retirement career, his animated dramatics throughout the end of his judicial career mean that a future in acting is natural, analysts say.

“The past couple of years have been a prolonged rehearsal to play a superhero,” said a film critic while talking to The Dependent. “Fitting that the first superhero he will play is Aquaman.”
