Salty Hamza Abassi ‘forgets’ to invite Murad Saeed to Maula Jatt premiere

Saying that it had completely slipped his mind and that he was totally, most definitely devastated by his mistake, a rather upbeat sounding Hamza Ali Abbasi revealed to The Dependent that Federal Minister Murad Saeed not being invited to the premiere of his upcoming movie ‘The legend of Maula Jatt’ is a mistake and nothing more.

According to sources, there had been some scandal up in Islamabad when Prime Minister Imran Khan had asked Murad Saeed whether he was going to the premiere and if they should share a cab or not since they had a meeting scheduled for just before the screening. However, Murad Saeed had informed the PM that he had not gotten an invitation, unlike the rest of the Federal cabinet.

“Ohhhhh right, that. Well, I can assure you it wasn’t intentional. Just ‘slipped my mind’ as they say” Abbasi told The Dependent.

“I know you can’t make this out over the phone, but I’m making those air quotation marks with my hands right now” he went on to add.

“But it’s too late now, the film releases in June and I’m afraid there’s just no more time to send out fresh invitation or set out new seating plans.”

When asked what the seating plan was, Abbasi said it involved seating the prime minister in an aisle seat so only he was next to him, and so that Fawad Khan was on the complete opposite end, out of both ear and eye shot.

“All according to plan” he muttered.

“Unless . .  unless .. well I sent Khan sb a card with a plus one option. I assumed Bushra Bibi would be opposed to cinemas so went with it . . but what if he brings . .” he said before the phone seemed to fall to the ground and all that could be heard was muffled sobbing in the distanc.e
