Step aside Meghan Markle, there’s a new duchess in town this holiday season!
Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy, The Princess Switch, starring Vanessa Hudgens in the lead seemingly appears to be inspired by the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. The film will have Hudgens, 29, play two identical people: Stacy, a baker from Chicago and Margaret, the Duchess of Montenaro — a fictional town in the European nation of Belgravia, People Magazine reported.
The unlikely pair cross paths when Stacy is invited to participate in a baking competition in Belgravia, where they run into each other and decide to switch places… temporarily. The result is a comedy of errors and eventually Stacy falls for Margaret’s fiancé — a prince, while Margaret sparks a romance with Stacy’s co-worker.
Looks like royals are the trending topic this season!
The Princess Switch will start streaming on Netflix November 16.
