Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday claimed that his party will form the next government after winning the elections.
Arriving in Khairpur on a two-day visit, Zardari lauded Sindhis for showing support to PPP in 2018 general elections.
“I feel blissful when I see people of my country happy,” he added.
The former president has been scheduled to meet the party leaders at Bakht Ali Hasbani‘s residence while he will also express condolences to Shiraz Rajpar over his brother’s demise.
Earlier, Chief Minister of Sindh (CM) Murad Ali Shah met Zardari in Nawabshah and briefed him over the under construction development projects across the province.
ZARDARI SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY: FAWAD
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday said that Zardari should not be taken seriously as he was in a state of shock.
He was responding to Zardari’s claims of PPP winning the elections and forming the next government.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House, he said that Zardari was in the habit of mentioning things at an inappropriate time and that Zardari could not become popular, whatever he might say.
In response to the reported data stealing of some banks, he said that experts in the PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) folds could give a better answer.
Fawad said that it would be a joke to appoint Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif as Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman to examine audit accounts of the tenure of his brother, ousted premier Nawaz Sharif.
Responding to a question about the relationship between Nawaz and former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Fawad replied that he could not comment as this was their personal matter.
