The newly appointed IG Islamabad has urged federal minister Azam Swait to hang up first.
“No, you hang first,” giggled IG Saddiq Malik to Swati at the conclusion of a long telephone conversation that had started after Swati called Malik, who immediately picked up.
“Okay, let’s hang up together, on three,” said Malik. “One…two….three…..OMG, you didn’t hang up!” he said as both men broke into hysterical giggles on either end of the line.
“You stop” that said Mr Swati before receiving a breathless “No you” from Mr Malik as both men continued the intense back and forth 14 more times before once again succumbing to the giggles bubbling up deep down inside their hearts.
Even as the two men laughed and failed to end their phone conversation, Mr Swati got serious for a few moments, letting the new IG know just how much he meant to him.
“You know I’d do anything for you. I’ve never felt this way about any IG before. All the others . . . they’ve just been nothing like you. You complete me” he said.
“Ok shush, I think somebody is coming up the stairs, I really need to go now, so lets actually hang up this time” he said.
“One…two….three…..OMG, you didn’t hang up again!” they said together.
“Jinx” they both screamed into their phones before once again dissolving into giggles.
At press time, neither man had hung up and both were still giggling.
