LAHORE – After Bollywood star Anushka Sharma finally tied the knot with beau of four years, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli, congratulations started pouring in from around the world.
Among those excited by the wedding is Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) Chief Hafiz Saeed, who took to Twitter to congratulate #Virushka.
He sent out multiple tweets to the happy couple, beginning with a reply to Kohli’s tweet with: “Congrats bro god bless u” with three thumbs up.
He separately wrote, “Faith in fairytales restored! Heartiest congratulations to @AnushkaSharma & @imVkohli” with multiple hearts.
He further tweeted (also using hearts):
“Ab yeh hui na real Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. My love to both @AnushkaSharma & @imVkohli”
“Awee congratulations you two .. you look lovely and so so happy .. wish you all the happiness in the world”
Hafiz Saeed these days is busy finalising his campaign for the 2018 elections, after confirming that he is using the Milli Muslim League (MML) banner.
With the MML yet to be registered by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), analysts believe Hafiz Saeed jumping on the Virushka bandwagon is a bid to highlight his softer side to the world.
However, MML insiders rubbish the claims.
“Violent animosity against all things Indian aside, Virushka got married c’mon,” said an MML spokesman.
