LAHORE – After the semi-finals of the National T20 Cup clashed with the final days of the Faizabad Interchange dharna, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to consult the Tehrik Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLY) before finalising the schedule for the third season of the Pakistan Super league (PSL), expected to be held in February and March this year.

“Since we’ll be hosting many matches, including the playoffs and the final of PSL 3, in Pakistan it is important to ensure that our schedule doesn’t clash with that of the Faizabad protestors,” Sethi said while addressing a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

The PCB chairman said that the schedule of the TLY will be regularly monitored and updates would be shared in due course of time with the PSL organisation committee.

“We want to make sure all high-profile star studded events get their due media coverage and airtime. So a clash won’t be of interest for either of the two parties,” Sethi said.

“And also since both PSL and TLY appear to enjoy unparalleled popularity among the masses and all state institutions, it is important that the national gets to enjoy both of them one by one.”
