Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has told the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) that he will provide the financial records of his party in the foreign funding case through Blackberry Messenger upon the inclusion of a “dekh kar delete kar dena” clause.
The PTI’s lawyer Anwar Mansoor, in a written communication, with the Commission, said that, due to the peculiar nature of the contents, the chairman will only send the said information on his Blackberry messenger only if the ECP were not to disclose the information and then call a press conference.
“Let’s just say that this is something that the Commission would like to see,” said a grinning Imran Khan to reporters at his Bani Gala residence. “Let me just say they won’t be disappointed.”
“Oh no, sir, they won’t,” he added.
When contacted, the ECP officials said that they will not entertain any such offer and that they are “disgusted by the mere thought” of receiving any Blackberry communication by the PTI chairman.
