MADRID – As news that Cristiano Ronaldo is expecting his first child with girlfriend Georgina Rodrigues came just days after the Portugal and Real Madrid ace became father to twins, the holder of the Ballon D’Or confirmed that he is in the process of fathering a squad of defenders that would ensure that he’s the world’s best player well into his 50s.

Talking to The Dependent Ronaldo, who is now father to seven-year old Cristiano Jr and twins Eva and Mateo, said he’s planning on ‘having a few more’ to ensure that the squad is large enough for him to train with two decades from now.

“When I’m in my 50s, Cristiano Junior would be in his late 20s to early 30s, while the kids born this year and in the near future would be in their 20s as well,” Cristiano said. “They would be at the prime of their physicality and hence the training at home would be top notch. Cristiano Jr has already said he wants to be a goal-keeper, so his peak would be in the 30s.”

When asked why he didn’t consider training with world’s best athletes good enough to ensure that he remains at the top of the year in the coming years, Ronaldo said that genetics matter the most.

“No one else would have the Cristiano Ronaldo genes, the best genes in the world,” he said. “And hence it is only those possessing the Cristiano DNA that could help Cristiano be the best in his 50.”

In the interview with The Dependent Ronaldo also confirmed that he isn’t planning on limiting his desire to be the best in the realm of football.

“I’ll also be the best dad in the world. Better than Lionel Messi.”
