MS WORD – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led government has promised the Information Technology ministry to typeface Calibri, should the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif escape the sack following the Joint Investigation Team’s (JIT) report in the Panama Papers case, The Dependent has learnt.

Calibri, a font that has been accused of being humanist and also sans-Sharif by detractors, will take charge of the ministry as soon as the PM is cleared to continue being the premier, sources confirmed.

“The typeface family designed by Lucas de Groot in 2004 will save the Sharif family designed by Nawaz Sharif in 1985,” said Federal Railways Minister and senior PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique, while talking to The Dependent.

“And anyone who serves Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is always rewarded with federal ministries,” he added.

Calibri that replaced Times New Roman as the default typeface in MS Word and replaced Arial as the default in PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and WordPad, said it would do its best to ensure that PM Nawaz isn’t replaced.

“It will be tough but I think my presence in the evidence will tilt the favour in the PM’s direction and not the other way around, as many expect,” said Calibri in a printed document mailed to The Dependent’s office in the default Calibri (Body) 11 size black coloured font.
