Posting of 38 female primary teachers of Rawalpindi district to remote areas has caused hardships among them.

Education department Rawalpindi has transferred 38 female teachers from primary schools of Rawalpindi city to remote rural hilly areas. These teachers have been posted in the primary schools which are located in hilly areas and 100 kilometres away from their homes.

These teachers have been directed to hand over charge immediately.

The teachers and their families have protested over this inequitable and injudicious act of education department. What is it, transferring a low paid female teacher to 100 kilometre away from her home in far off hilly area is a sheer defiance of norms of chadar and chardeveri, said a group of teachers.

The teachers have decided to challenge their posting orders in the court.
