The government is equipping the youth with free technical education in order to make Pakistan a developed country, Chief Coordinator of Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Makhdoom Adeelur Rehman said on Sunday.

Talking to this news agency, Makhdoom said the government was providing free technical training to unskilled youth by bringing about an economical revolution in the country. “We are working round the clock to promote technical education,” he added.

“The well skilled and equipped youth is a precious asset who can steer the country out of the current economical crisis,” Makhdoom said.

The government had financially empowered women who were now running day care centres, dealing in e-business, garments and had organized small scale house-based enterprises, he further said.

He said that “these women after getting loans were working shoulder to shoulder with men”.

Makhdoom said that youth of a Nation could do wonders by changing fate of its motherland if they were trained, educated and informed in an optimum fashion.

Mentioning various schemes launched under the PM Youth Programme, Makhdoom said that these schemes were bearing fruits.

Replying to a question, Makhdoom said that some of the young women, who got loan through first balloting of PM Youth Loan Scheme, had returned their first instalment.

The chief coordinator said that government was seriously planning to carry out standardized and model education by streamlining of the three major systems including public, private and madrassahs.
