Pindi Cantt to have modern slaughterhouse, meat market

The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has decided to set up a slaughterhouse and a meat market of international standard in the cantonment area.

Rawalpindi Cantonment Executive Officer Fahim Zafar said that the site for the slaughter house was being worked out, while the meat market will be set up in Kamran Market, which existed even before partition. “State-of-the-art machinery will be installed in the slaughter house on modern lines,” he said. He also said that the renovated Rumi Park will be opened for general public on the eve of Eid.
