NAB to probe IG Sindh on corruption charges

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated investigation against Inspector General (IG) Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali and several other police officials on corruption charges.

Sources said that the approval to probe the corruption charges had been given in a meeting presided over by the NAB chairman. Other officials include Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Headquarters Aleem Jaffery, Additional Inspector General (AIG) Finance Fida Hussain, Additional Inspector General (AIG) Logistics Tanveer Tahir, SP Asif Razzaq and SSP Maqsood Memon.

The officials are accused of corruption of billion of rupees while buying weapons, CCTV cameras, bullet proof jackets and cars for Sindh police.
