Floods better not be a problem this year, SC warns

The Supreme Court on Thursday summoned the attorney general and advocate generals of the four provinces to appear personally on the next hearing of a case relating to protective measures to check flood disaster.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Saqib Nisar heard the case. The court also summoned chief secretaries of the four provinces, Flood Commission chairman, National Disaster Management Authority chairman, Provincial Disaster Management Authorities director generals and other officials concerned.
