Afghan President hails Pakistan’s role in combating terrorism

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani visited Pakistan Army’s General Headquarters(GHQ) and met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif  on Friday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

General Raheel received Ghani upon his arrival at GHQ. The visiting president was presented guard of honour. Afghan president hailed the role of Pakistan in combating terrorism, according to the ISPR release.

Ghani resolved to strengthen ties between both countries to fight against militants in the region.

He said that Afghanistan wants enhanced cooperation with the neighboring country in border management and training in the field of defence.
