Pot calls the kettle black? Dacoits protest against police

Dozens of armed dacoits have launched a protest in Sindh’s Ghotki district, against ‘extortion’ at the hands of police, private media reported.

The dacoits, having a stronghold in the area, have been looting public for years.

Police sources have denied the allegations, adding that the dacoits are actually in protest of the action taken against them by the police force.

SP Ghotki Ibrar Hussain, while speaking to media, claimed that crackdown against the dacoits has led them to cease their activities and said that the protest was reflects the success of police.

The police officer, however, declined to share how the dacoits have got their hands on latest weapons and who are their patrons.
