With the slogan “Polo in Pink” Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC), in collaboration with Lahore Polo Club, is organizing an event to raise awareness about breast cancer on Sunday 19thOctober 2014 at Lahore Polo Club, GOR 1, from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. This will include an exhibition polo match, cavalcade, air show, Porsche Pedal Cars (for children), Nail Art, face painting and Food Stalls along with live musical performance by famous band Quadrum. A large number of people from different walks of life are expected to participate in this event including famous fashion models Sanam Saeed and Vaneeza Ahmed. Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in women, worldwide. Pakistan has one of the highest incidences of breast cancer in all of Asia. The best way to fight this disease is to detect it early and start appropriate treatment. Join us in our efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer. It may be recalled that October is being observed as breast cancer awareness month worldwide.
