Islamabad police on Monday arrested eight lawbreakers from various areas of the city and recovered 2.5 kilogrammes of hashish, two pistols, 11 wine bottles and 50 cans of beer from their possession, a police spokesman said.
As per details, SP Investigation Muhammad Ilyas directed CIA DSP to launch effective crackdown against dacoit and ensure arrest of all such criminals. Following his directions, special teams including DSP CIA Zubair Ahmed Sheikh, Sub-Inspector Shamas Akbar and others were constituted which worked under his own supervision.
On a tip off, Sub-Inspector Shams Akbar raided at the hideout of dacoits and arrested four men: Sadar Khan s/o Nasir Khan r/o district Kohstan, Eagel Khan s/o Ali Rehman, Izhar Gul s/o Roze Khan and Tahir Ali s/o Tanveer Ali.
Police team recovered two 30-bore pistols along with 10 bullets from their possession. Further investigation is underway. A case no 141/13 has been registered against them at Secretariat Police Station under sections 399/402 A-O 13/20 /65. Meanwhile, Sub Inspector Sher Muhammad from Margallah Police Station arrested a drug pusher Amin Ullah and recovered 2.5 kg of hashish from him. ASI Noor Elahi from Ramana Police Station arrested two bootleggers identified as Danyal and Bollage and recovered three wine bottles and 50 cans of beer from their possession.
Sub Inspector Muhammad Nawaz from Ramana police station arrested bootleggers Yousaf Masih and recovered eight wine bottles from him. Separate cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
20 OUTLAWS HELD, 857 LIQUOR BOTTLES RECOVERED: Rawalpindi police in its drive against anti-social elements have arrested 20 outlaws and recovered 3,055 grams of charras, 200 grams of heroin, 857 bottles of liquor and five pistols 30-bore with 15 rounds from the possession of the arrested accused.
Taxila Police held Mohsin and seized 1150 grams of charras while Numan was booked for having 1,110 grams of charras. Westridge police apprehended Saeeda Akhtar Bibi with 200 grams of charras.
Saddar Wah police arrested Dilawar Butt and recovered 750 bottles of liquor. Riasat was sent behind the bars for having 70 liquor bottles. Raja Jawad, Waseem, Farooq, Mehran Babar and Naveed Qamar were rounded up with illegal weapons. Other accused were netted for having drugs and liquor.
10 GAMBLERS ARRESTED: Rawalpindi police on the special directive of city police officer (CPO) have launched a drive against gambling dens while on Monday 10 gamblers were netted and cash stake money amounting to Rs 35,120 were recovered.
According to Rawalpindi Police spokesman, Civil Line police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid at Darbar Sai Jhanda road and caught 10 gamblers namely Kabeer, Amjad, Gul Muhammad, Javed, Pervaiz, Tamoor, Yaqub, Organzaib and others for their alleged involvement in gambling while playing cards.

POLICE IMPOUND 40 BIKES, 11 VEHICLES: Islamabad Capital Territory Police on Monday impounded 40 bikes and 11 vehicles during general hold up while black sheets from four vehicles were also removed besides fine to them, a police spokesman said.
According to details, SSP Islamabad Muhammad Rizwan has directed all police officials to ensure effective security and patrolling measures in their respective areas. Police officials have been directed to take strict action against vehicles being driven without documents and criminal elements. In compliance of these directions, Islamabad police impounded 40 bikes and 11 vehicles during general hold up. Black sheets were removed from four tinted glasses vehicles. The police also apprehended 12 suspects during search operation in various areas of the city.
