Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nisar Ali Khan has said he would resign his post after three months if members were not satisfied with his performance.
Talking to reporters outside the Parliament House on Saturday before the oath-taking ceremony of National Assembly members, Nisar said he would be the first to offer himself for accountability.
He said a decision about the federal cabinet would be made on June 5, but indicated that it would be a small one as part of austerity measures in view of economic situation.
Nisar said the improvement of law and order, resolving load shedding and provision of basic amenities to the people would be the priority of new government
The PML-N leader said his government would avoid raising old issues and concentrate on development and putting the country on the avenue of prosperity.
