Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Memon on Sunday alleged that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Nawaz Sharif was behind threats being issued by the Taliban to attack political rallies, according to a private TV channel.
Addressing a press conference, Memon said, “The contacts between Nawaz Sharif and Taliban are no secret to anyone.”
He said that to topple the government of Benazir Bhutto in 1988 a no-confidence move was invoked and in this context reports of a meeting between Nawaz Sharif and slain al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden were reported by the media.
The PPP leader also said that the threats by the Taliban to attack political rallies were being issued on the directives of Nawaz Sharif.
He appealed to the Supreme Court to take a suo motu notice of links between Nawaz Sharif and terrorist outfits.

  1. People like Sharjeel Memon, who have made lots of hay while the Sun shone, should now realise this is Pay Back Time. The show must go on, but without the likes of S Memon. How many hundred acres has Memon acquired in past 5 years in addition to his assets in Dubai?
