Six women have been martyred in just two days for carrying the noble cause of saving the children of Pakistan from the malady of polio. It’s a dilemma in Pakistan that whenever a vulnerable class of society becomes victimisation of extra-judicial killings, the respective provincial and federal governments become more
responsive by promptly declaring award of compensation to the aggrieved families. I wonder why the same money which becomes immediately available from government exchequer for compensation purposes is not expended beforehand on improving security of these vulnerable classes.
