Who’s responsible?

We cannot forget the loss of precious lives in the tragic fire incident in Karachi garment factory, leaving behind the families of dead workers grieving and helpless.
Who’s responsible for this utter carelessness, mismanagement – the government, the owners, the civil society or someone else? Unfortunately, no one is ready to accept the responsibility, so the question remains unanswered.
The poor working conditions and facilities in the factory showed that there were no emergency exits, no proper ventilation, no fire alarms and only one entry and exit door in the whole factory.
We forward this to government to investigate the issue and ensure that the working conditions and safety measures in all other factories and institutions are up to the standard requirements to avoid similar accidents in the future.
