  1. The getting of some post does not mean we are superior from other ordinary people. President is the servant of hole nation.
The nation give tax to run country and has the power to ask president about any thing relating to their country and its future.
Is contempt of court ordinance by government is democracy by protecting few.
I think this is our pakistani people mentality. we want power not to serve but to become superior no matter what corner of life we come from and show arrogance. we must realize that the power of post whether it is president or some other seat it has some duties underneath to fulfill.

  2. This guy is an idiot and he is pushing the courts to find him in contempt and send him to prison. That is what he deserves.

  3. I believe the people of Pakistan should vote on this contempt law like anything else. Then we can call it the people's choice.

    • what people`s choice r u talking about where people like u without reading the full law to understand same…n where the govt counsel Mr Shakoor ( confessed during his argument in court that this new law was to save the new PM & is discriminatory ) & PPP senior members like Aitzaz Ahsan,Raza Rabbani, Iqbal Haider, Babar Awan & Ms Asma Jehangir had reservations about this law too, so how the people of Pakistan most of whom are of yr caliber n intellectually bankrupt…can probably make a sane decision on this issue ? 4. SC: exonerating military dictators

Sir: The Attorney General of Pakistan Irfan Qadir has told the five-member bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on August 2 that the Supreme Court has always exonerated military dictators by targeting democratic governments. Obviously, the above comments are based on facts irrespective of whatever the intention of the Attorney General may be. However, I admit I am not an expert on the constitution or law.
I suggest that all the judges who had given validity to the military dictatorships in the past must be declared as enemies of the constitution and Pakistan and if any judge is alive or serving, he must be tried under Article 6 of the Constitution. Nonetheless, such serving judge must have the integrity to resign immediately.
Meanwhile, it is sad to note that some people, out of their severe hatred against the PPP, want to sabotage the prevailing parliamentary system in Pakistan.

P.S: Please note Chaudhry Iftikhar, among others had given validity to the martial law of the 4th military dictator & racist General Pervez Musharraf.

  5. SC – used its power as usual and struck-down the new contempt law – but under which law (Article#) of the constitution of Pakistan and with what powers – the SC has "re invoked" the Old contempt of law? which the parliament has already nullified it collectively – Can someone educate me on this point…

  6. This court has rejected the new law passed by both elected houses in favor of their PCO dictator Mush’s 2003 contempt law proves that they are still following their oaths under PCO. The aiding and abetting in high treason is still ongoing.
Now that govt has talked and listened to the arguments of various bar councils and of the SC judges it should redraft the law with the help of those who opposed it initially like Dr. Ahsan. They should continue to legislate (their primary responsibility of legislature) and let the PCO judges expose themselves. It would also prove to the world that these judges have a phobia against the elected govt and their only function is to ambush the work of the two houses that people have elected.
