Due to the slackness of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Islamabad Highway has been without road lights from Koral Chowk to GT Road for last few years which contribute to traffic accidents during night. Various housing schemes have been developed alongside Islamabad Highway upon NOC from CDA including PWD, Pakistan Town, Gulberg, National Police foundation, Naval Incerage, Media Town, Korang Town, and Judicial Town, inhabited by thousands of people. Moreover, heavy traffic plies on the inter-provincial highway that faces troubles due to lack of road lights for last few years. It merits mentioning here that road lights were removed during Islamabad Highway expansion project some five years back but not installed so far.
