Former actress and TV presenter Reema and her husband Dr Tariq Shahab hosted walima reception for their friends in Lahore on Saturday, 26 May, after their marriage in Novemebr 2011 in the United States. The couple looked dignified. What has impressed me the most was couple’s preference for one-dish dinner, that is against the taste of Lahoreiites. The other important feature of the function was its Pakistan touch. Our politicians and senior bureaucrats go abroad to celebrate marriages of their scions, whereas this couple decided to share their moments of happiness with their fans in Pakistan. No doubt the couple is fabulously rich but the setting of the reception was simple and graceful on the screen.
