Drinking milk regularly provides good amount of calcium and keeps teeth healthy.
Talking to Pakistan Television (PTV), Dr Shabeer Ahmed Dehraj said that there is no difference between dairy and fresh milk, both are rich in calcium.
He said that brushing the teeth after breakfast and before sleeping for a minimum duration of at least three minutes daily prevents the teeth against bacterial attacks. He said that during brushing, the position of the tooth brush head should be at an angle of forty five degrees towards your gum line.
He said that milky teeth remains six to eight years and after that permenant teeth replace them adding that care for teeth should be adopted from early age, parents can help thier kids in that matter. He said a visit to dentist can provide sufficient information about dental care plan. It is found that most people use their teeth for a different kind of activities. This includes using the teeth as a tool and sometimes as a can opener. Using the teeth for activities like these can cause the enamel to erode, crack and loosen the teeth from its base, he said.
Smoking cause stains on your teeth that are un-removable. Gum diseases affect smokers more than non-smokers.
Make it a habit to visit your dentist once every six months, he can guide you and tell you about the status of your teeth and can do some professional cleaning once in a while, he said.

  1. If the milk teeth get cavities, the bacteria which eat teeth spread to the permanent teeth, causing early tooth loss. So get a checkup and keep things in order! Fort Worth Dental
