Radio Pakistan upgrades its service

Radio Pakistan improved the transmission of its FM 101 channel in Lahore by launching a 5 Kilowatt FM transmitter on Sunday. The transmitter will cover 75 Kilometers area in a radius through its 300 feet high FM antenna. With the launch of transmitter voice quality and reception has improved considerably in Lahore City, Motorway and adjoining areas. It is worth mentioning that now FM 101 transmission will also be heard about 40 kilometers across the border areas of India near Lahore. In this connection today the Cricket Match commentary was broadcast at the Wagha check post before the flag lowering ceremony which was heard by the audience present on both sides of the border. The step has been hugely hailed by people from all segments of society.
