The ruling Pakistan Peoples Party in recent Senate elections has gained more than 40 seats, and comprising with its allies it has now gained a two-third majority in the Upper House.
I would like to congratulate President Asif Ali Zardari for his victory and for wisely playing his cards. It is now quite clear that the next election’s results would be in favour of the PPP. It means that miseries of people and other chronic issues like terrorism, price-hikes and Pak-US ties would remain ‘constant’.
