Pakistan: a haven for tax evaders

In America it is said that you can get away with murder, but not tax evasion. If only Al-Capone had been a Pakistani-origin American immigrant, he could have got away for both these crimes had he committed them here. As far as Al-Capone is concerned, he could have sat in Chicago, headed a political party in Pakistan with his goons committing murders, not pay any tax and still have a major role in our national and regional politics.
He could also have held to ransom the whole of Chicago, while his goons collected bhatta or protection money, indulged in kidnapping for ransom, organised street crime, murdered those who dared to challenge him and even got away with target killings of journalists, provided that city was located here. He could also have had his nominee appointed as Governor of State of Illinois, with the approval of an establishment.
In addition to this, every decade or so, a scheme would have been launched to whiten his black money and even have an avenue, road or a hospital named after him, with many an singing praises in the media for his philanthropist projects and giving power to middle class. While fortune smiled upon him, fate was very unkind to Al Capone for being born in Italy and immigrating to USA, instead of a more congenial country located in Asia.
