The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has decided to auction all unclaimed vehicles parked in various police stations of the city. The ICT administration on Tuesday directed all the police stations of Islamabad to provide details of unclaimed vehicles within their respective jurisdictions for their immediate disposal, after observing the required legal formalities. According to details, the district administration, on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed and in consultation with SSP Muhammad Yousaf Malik, asked all the SHOs to provide details of unclaimed vehicles within the jurisdiction of each police station for their immediate disposal. Deputy Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed directed the officials to prepare a list of unclaimed vehicles within a week. He said that timely disposal of unclaimed vehicles would discourage their misuse. He added a committee had already been constituted to dispose of such vehicles.
