Armed Forces played major frontline role in War against terrorism: ISPR

ISPR sources have stressed that ever since war against terror in post 9/11 scenario, (2001), Pakistani Armed Forces had played /are playing a major frontline role, sacrificing well over 2,945 military personnel.
ISPR further deliberated that continuous struggle of ISI and intelligence services helped weaken, destabilize Al-Qaeeda by arresting its major figures and stakeholders, and annihilating thousand extremist militants, and dismantling their networks, breaking its resolve.
Highlighting the active frontline role of Pakistan’s Armed Forces in war against terrorism, ISPR spokesman cited 879 assorted operations against extremist militants, which included 284 major, and 595 minor actions.
