It has been experienced that the design of DHA Lahores back-to-back houses has created a slum-like condition in the servant quarters facing each other while the bedrooms and bathrooms of houses are exposed to peeping toms in servant quarters.
The washed clothes being hung on the walls and strings by the servants present an ugly scene from the bedroom windows of these houses. The front of the houses look posh with manicured lawns and flowerbeds while the space between the back of houses presents an unpleasant scene that looks like the walled city lanes.
It would have been better to design the houses in such a way that the back portion of the houses did not carry such an impression.
