If I have a wish for 2011, it is that it be everything that 2010 was not for Pakistan. Another year yet finishes with a total of 49 suicide attacks. For the very first time a female was found culprit in committing a suicide blast.
The suicide attacks brutally killed 1167 and injured 2199 people. Compared to the previous year of 2009, there were eighty suicide attacks. A maximum of twenty took place in Peshawar. However, the intensity of suicide attacks in 2010 was more. One of the most deadly attacks this year occurred in Yakka Ghund of Mohmand Agency. This attack killed 108 people.
I urge the authorities to focus on security issues rather than democratic grudges between various parties.
