The speech of law minister on the occasion of the Iqbal Day in Lahore in a conference titled ‘Tajwar-e-Thakt-e-Babri’ forced me to ponder over a few things.
It reminded me of a quote on our national psyche that ‘we are all wiser than Scarotes, holier than angels and in acts lower than the devils. Mr Babar Awan was right that Pakistani nation was very late to understand Iqbals message. I would say it has not yet understood it at all. This can be explained by the worst ever corruption, mismanagement, general incompetence and lack of transparency of the ruling coalition in the country.
I would like to know what message of Iqbal the government is following.
S M CHEENABY
