KITZBUEHEL - Jean-Baptiste Grange of France won the men's slalom on Sunday ahead of World Cup leader Ivica Kostelic but the Croat's second place was enough to see him bag the combined crown. JAKARTA - Malaysia won its first ASEAN Suzuki Cup Wednesday by beating Indonesia with an aggregate score of 4-2 for the first and second legs of the Southeast Asian championships final.
In the final's second leg, held in Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Indonesia beat Malaysia 2-1 in a match attended by Indonesia's President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

LAHORE - Sehrish Asghar, a student of Punjab University Hailey College of Banking and Finance, won five gold medals in 400m, 800m, 1500m, 100 x 4m and 400 x 4m races in Pakistan Inter University Athletics Championship. The championship was organized by Higher Education Commission in collaboration with Punjab University at Punjab Stadium from December 20 to 21. 15 universities from all over Pakistan participated in the games, won by Punjab University by securing 380 record numbers.
