LAHORE - Anti-Vehicles-Lifting Staff (AVLS) Iqbal Town Division claimed to arrest three car lifters of Ijaz Ahmed Car lifter gang, including the ringleader and seized eight cars and one motorcycle worth Rs 3.5 million from their possession on Tuesday. The arrested were identified as ringleader Ijaz Ahmed, Muhammad Ishfaq alias Shaka and Muhammad Sabir.

KESC arrests two wire thieves
KARACHI - The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) security team on Friday morning arrested two persons from the Malir area involved in stealing copper wire and recovered about five kg of stolen wire.
The persons were caught red-handed by the KESC security personnel with the help of local residents while they were cutting off wire from the KESC power network in Bagh-e-Malir. They were handed over to the Al-Falah police and a case was registered against them.

KESC police arrest wire thieves
KARACHI: The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) police have arrested a gang of four for allegedly trying to steal copper wire from a substation in Defence area. Sources said the police recovered wire cutters and two pistols from the possession of the gang, known as Lalay group, led by notorious Azizur Rehman Lalay and also took a Toyota car into custody. Defence police have registered a case against the culprits and obtained their physical remand until January 21.

LAHORE - Lahore Iqbal Town Division anti-Vehicles Lifting Staff (AVLS) on Tuesday claimed arresting notorious ringleader of the Tariq Javeed Shah car thief gang and recovered 13 cars, a tractor and motorcycle worth Rs 7.4 million from their possession.
The criminal confessed stealing 12 cars, one tractor and motorcycle from Lahore, two cars from Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and five cars from Rawalpindi during preliminary interrogation.

The Punjab Civil Secretariat's parking area has become a favourite place for car thieves owing to poor security and non-provision of parking slips to vehicle owners, causing a lot of inconvenience to visitors and government officers, Pakistan Today has learnt.
