PSM looks for Russian support to boost production

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan would seek Russian assistance to boost production capacity of the Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) from the present one million tonnes to three million tonnes per annum. This was stated by the Minister for Industries and Production Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, while chairing a meeting on modernisation, revamp and extension (BMRE) of PSM through Russia's technical assistance.

TOKYO - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pledged full support for quake-hit Japan on Sunday as the operator of its stricken nuclear plant said it expects to achieve "cold shutdown" in six to nine months. TOKYO - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Sunday urged Japan to remain active on the world stage as it grappled with a nuclear crisis in the wake of a deadly earthquake and tsunami and she pledged support for Washington's key ally in East Asia.
