CM approves establishment of Punjab Food Authority
LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday approved establishment of the Punjab Food Authority. He was chairing a meeting to review proposals regarding the authority.
The CM said that the decision to establish the Punjab Food Authority has been taken, as provision of unadulterated and quality essential items to people is of vital importance. He said that the authority would be completely autonomous on pattern of the Punjab Health Commission.

PMA Punjab chapter meeting today
LAHORE - A regular meeting of Provincial Council of the Pakistan Medial Association (PMA) Punjab will be held at the PMA House today (Wednesday) with PMA Punjab President Ashraf Nizami in the chair.

LAHORE - For the first time since the PML-N took over the provincial government in 2008, district police officers (DPOs) will be posted without interviews, solely on the recommendation of the inspector general of police (IGP), Pakistan Today learnt reliably on Sunday.

LAHORE - The Punjab government is organising a consultative workshop on the establishment of Punjab Health Commission (PHC) at the University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Monday.
The workshop is being organized by Punjab Health Department, in collaboration with Technical Assistance Management Agency (TAMA), funded by Department for International Development, UK.
