Shehri-CBE to rally against amenity plots billa
KARACHI - The Shehri-CBE, a Karachi-based non-profit organisation, has organised a peaceful protest rally against the 'The Sindh Protection and Prohibition of Amenity Plots Bill 2009' today (Saturday) at Mazar-e-Quaid where citizens will gather for about 20 minutes. According to a press release issued on Friday, the "deceptively named proposed bill" essentially states that the MPAs can change the use of amenity land.
Punjab will give 4,000 5-marla plots to homeless families
HAFIZABAD - The Punjab government is distributing 4,000 free five-marla plots among homeless people in Jinnah Abadis across the province. CDA auctions 13 commercial, 16 residential plots
ISLAMABAD - Cash-strapped Capital Development Authority (CDA) sold 13 commercial and 16 residential plots for Rs 1.42 billion during an open auction held at Aabpara Community Center in the last two days. The commercial plots were sold for Rs 1.18 billion on Wednesday and the residential ones for Rs. 246.1 million on Tuesday.

KARACHI: The Sindh government has allocated lands in different divisions of provincial headquarters, including Karachi, for allotment of plots to the families of army officers and government servants who died in the war against terror.

Flood survivors will get plots in Karachi
KARACHI: The Sindh government is planning to give away plots to flood survivors in Gadap and Bin Qasim towns of Karachi.
