PIMS hiring staff in violation of rules
ISLAMABAD - Administrators at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) are recruiting staff for Federal Medical College without fulfilling legal requirements, Pakistan Today has learnt.
PIMS is going to start the Federal Medical College within a few weeks and the process of getting recognition from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has also been initiated, while the dean and joint executive director have already been appointed.

ISLAMABAD
A rivals' clash at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Friday left one dead and six injured, exposing the security arrangements of the hospital as well as local police apparatus.
The incident occurred outside the gate of the emergency ward in a broad daylight in the presence of hundreds of patients and visitors. The two rival groups, led by Naeem and Chaudhry Riaz, clashed over a land dispute in the Tarlai area in the limits of Koral police
