ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved an increase of 58 paisa per unit in the power tariff of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC). The fresh hike in power tariff has been approved for the month of October in the form of fuel adjustment charges, while the raise would be applicable from January. During a public hearing, NEPRA on behalf of KESC had requested for an increase in power tariff as part of annual fuel adjustment.

The court allowed them to either appear in person or through their representatives, with the assurance that they would appear in court whenever it asked them to.
