JAKARTA - At least 17 people were wounded in a suspected suicide bomb attack during Friday prayers at an mosque in a police compound in Indonesia's West Java province, police said.
"We suspect it was a suicide bombing," Indonesian police spokesman Anton Bachrul Alam said.
"The blast occurred in Cirebon police headquarters compound during the beginning of Friday prayer," he told reporters.

PESHAWAR - A bomb attack on a packed mosque adjoining Akhun Panjoo Baba's shrine in Nowshera district's Akbarpura town, killed 10 people and injured 38 as it ripped through Friday prayers. Culture Dept acts against illegal construction of mosque
KARACHI: Following a protest campaign by the heritage enthusiasts, the Sindh government has taken notice of the illegal construction at the centuries-old historical mosque built in the times of Arab warrior Mohammad Bin Qasim in Aror Sharif near Rohri in Sukkur district.
Sindh Culture Minister Sassui Palijo announced that she would visit the site on Tuesday and personally observe the construction work with her department officials.
