‘Govt to support energy conservation measures’
KARACHI - Defence Minister Ahmad Mukhtar, who is also chairman of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), pledged the government's full support to energy conservation measures and for the protection of environment.
Mukhtar was speaking on Saturday at PIA's joining ceremony of Earth Hour campaign. As part of the Earth Hour campaign, all non-essential lights at the PIA buildings and the PIA business centres were switched off for one hour, between 8:30pm and 9:30pm.

FBR proposes new taxation measures
ISLAMABAD - Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Inland Revenue Member Khawar Khurshid Butt, on Friday, said that FBR has proposed new taxation measures to meet the revised revenue collection target of Rs 1630 billion for 2010-2011.
