LAHORE - Medicam showed its prowess against UBL on the opening day of the Patron's Trophy Grade-II- final that started at Pindi Stadium Rawalpindi. Winning the toss, Medicam opener Sharjeel Khan cracked a century in his team's 316 runs off 79 overs and later Shabbir Ahmed took three wickets to reduce UBL to 39 for three in nine overs.

ISLAMABAD - Pakistani fast bowler Mohammed Asif, who was banned to enter in UAE due to possessing illegal drugs, has been cleared after three years.
Pakistan cricket board (PCB) filed an appealed against his ban. Now, the UAE government has informed the pacer through PCB that he has been cleared to enter in UAE states.

UAE lifts ban on Muhammad Asif

LAHORE - The UAE on Monday allowed test cricketer Muhammad Asif to enter the Gulf state, reported a private TV channel. Quoting sources the TV channel said the move would allow the controversial star to travel to the UAE after an around three year ban. Asif was first detained and later deported at the Dubai airport in June 2008 after opium had recovered from his possession, a charge repeatedly denied by Asif.
