Lawyer seeks proceedings against judge for ordering Davis’ release
LAHORE - The Lahore High Court's inspection team member (MIT) sent on Thursday an application to the chief justice, seeking proceedings against Additional District and Sessions judge Muhammad Yousaf Aojla for releasing CIA contractor Raymond Davis in double murder of two Pakistanis.
The MIT referred the case to chief justice in response to an application filed by Barrister Javed Iqbal Jaffrey who accused AD&SJ Aojla of acquitting Davis in an unusual manner and against the rules.

LAHORE - The British lawyer of Pakistan's suspended former Test captain Salman Butt said he was in Lahore on Thursday preparing for his client's spot-fixing hearing next week.
Salman, along with bowlers Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Aamer, is to appear before an ICC anti-corruption tribunal, headed by Michael Beloff QC, in Doha from January 6-11. Salman and Aamer had their appeals against suspension rejected, while Asif withdrew his appeal.

LAHORE: The lawyer of teenage pace bowler Mohammad Amir insists he has faith in the ICC-appointed tribunal which will decide the fate of his client and two other players implicated in the spot-fixing scandal.
