Online complaint system for telecom consumers launched
KARACHI - Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched an "online complaint management system" which enables consumers of all telecom services, including internet and broadband users, to lodge their complaints against their service providers online and to have prompt response on them. This system is integrated with operators and the telecom regulator.
The primary objective of this new system is the management and resolution of telecommunication subscriber's complaints.

DASKA - Child Protection Bureau Sialkot has launched a special operation against beggary in Daska, Sambrial, Pasrur and Sialkot. Child Protection Bureau Assistant Director Rao Khalil said 11 child beggars had been rescued and brought to this bureau.
The bureau took these children into its official custody by the orders of Child Protection Court Sialkot. These children were wandering and begging in different streets and roads.

Pilot project of 20 telecentres to be launched this month
KARACHI: The Universal Service Fund (USF) has devised a pilot project of 20 telecentres that would be launched this month across the country on an experimental basis after the USF's budget is approved in its board meeting.
Each province will have four equally distributed telecentres, and after their successful piloting, the approved model would be replicated in some 400 to 500 telecentres at the next level of this grand project.
